My Way to learn
It should not surprise you that my most fulfilling moments at University of Washington were not entirely spent in a classroom. I present to you the “A-minus” student mindset.
When it comes to school, I am every bit of a perfectionist as the next honors student. I would study late into the night for each important test and scramble for points along the way to put my best foot forward. But when a “Say Yes” opportunity comes up: someone invites you to go midnight bowling, you drop afternoon studying to play some pick-up soccer, you skip Friday classes to go catch pileated woodpeckers on the Olympic Peninsula with another professor, I would say yes. Being an “A-minus” student gives me an “A-plus” in happiness and a swath of fulfilling experiences.
The focus of this portfolio is to highlight those things that would typically distract me from getting the best grades in class and focus on the things that got me the best education.
